A clinical trial has shown that heart patients who ate 3 tablespoons of flaxseed every day for one year had large decreases in blood pressure, according to Tracy Frank at Inforum. Grant Pierce, director of research for St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg and a University of Manitoba professor, says this is equal to the results you’d expect to find from any hypertension drug on the market today.
